Bennington Battle Monument (in background), dedicated to the famous Battle of Bennington that took place during the Revolutionary war in 1777, is a 306' stone obelisk opened to the public in 1891

We enjoyed a fabulous cheese tasting at Grafton Village Cheese Co. in Brattlesboro, VT. Try the 3-year-aged cheddar, the Leyden cheese (flavored with cumin), and the Clothbound Cheddar (which any Gruyere fan will like).
